whorechata began in 2021 at the heels of a pandemic that decimated black and brown communities. in the aftermath, we created a space to celebrate queer and trans people of color, and threw our first not-so-legal rave in spanish harlem.

since then, whorechata has become a key player in shaping gen-z centered queer spaces in nyc and beyond. we pride ourselves in booking the most exciting up and coming djs, producers, performers and artists shaping the future of latin club music. 

we’ve sold out events at elsewhere, the brooklyn monarch, le bain, and market hotel; partnered with everyday people and nyc pride; been featured in rolling stone, washington post, and time out. and we’re just getting started.
