Whorechata began in 2021 after a pandemic that decimated NYC’s Latinx and POC communities. In the aftermath, we created a space to celebrate queer and trans people of color, and threw our first not-so-legal rave in Spanish Harlem.

Since then, Whorechata has grown into a vital force in New York nightlife and the global Latin club underground. Rooted in the queer and trans Latin diaspora, we connect scenes across borders and champion the DJs, producers, performers and artists reshaping the future of club music. 

We’ve sold out events at Elsewhere, The Brooklyn Monarch, Le Bain and Market Hotel; partnered with Everyday People and NYC Pride; and been featured in Rolling Stone, The Washington Post and Time Out New York. What began in a bodega is becoming a  cultural movement, and we’re just getting started.
